Justart

For those tart lovers out there, you can now enjoy best tart in town. Introducing Justart located in one of the shoplots in Krystal Point (near Bayan baru roundabout for those who don't know where Krystal Point is) . They were officially opened on 28th July 2011. But no promo though. This is the birthday 'cake' that I mentioned in the previous post.

We could not find any bakery nearby and coincidently we saw they were officially lauching the shop (we passed by when driving). So, why not give it a try. Something different for a special celebration right. Yes, they do provide candles as well. We bought 9 tarts for the price of RM17. It's a bit pricey but it was GGOOODDD....

Birthday lunch

Well, it has been a while I have had my Japanese food treat. It came true yesterday. Though I don't favor Jap food that much. If I have a choice, I prefer rice(local dish as I'm proud to be a Malaysian)..I can't live without rice. I have to eat rice at least once a day or else I'll be a walking zombie..Yes, I will.

Anyway, it was one of my colleague's birthday, Candy ( I call her sweet if translated from Hokkien). This restaurant was one of her favorite place to go so Vic decided to go there since it is her day. So why not bring her to a place where she'll feel at home. It was supposed to be a surprise and our plan was successful. We went with 2 cars. Vic and the birthday girl with a few other friends went with a car, while me and another 2 colleagues drove my car as we need to buy a cake of course. Birthday will not be complete without a birthday cake...You'll be surprise what type of cake we meant...

Tri Action Aqua Boost by Bio Essence review

Review time...

Remember this product that i bought roughly a month ago. I'd said that i'll do the review within 1 week?. Well, sorry for the delay as i was caught up with some other stuff.

Anyhow, i can't exactly give this product a full thumbs up. Maybe half though. This is because the name Aqua represents H2O and this is suitable for people with dry skin. Unlike mine, i have a combination skin with my T-zone and forehead being the oiliest part. The next best thing is, you can slap the gel onto your face and off you go to your dreamland and just wash it with water before you proceed with cleanser.

Yes, my face seems plumpier and amazingly, my pimple scars that i have on my chin is starting to fade off. Your face feels moisturized as well and it doesn't feels dry.

A bottle of this product could last you months depending on how you use it. For me, i use every 2 days due to my skin condition. Also, it feel slighty icy when touches your skin. And it comes in 2 sizes and you can get easily at the nearest supermarket like Jusco. And drugstore concept stores like Watson or Guardian.

A wedding to remember

Well, it was my first time attending a wedding that was hekd by a community that celebrates Vasakhi. It was colorful and there's music throughout the function. Colorful people wearing sarees greeted me in front of the entrance and not to forget food was catered by Palace d India. So imagined how full we were and pampered wih unlimited food that blinded our eyes. Surprisingly the queue we were in when queueing to take the food was fast. And ohh, there were ice-creams too.

My table was situated near to the stage so we could see the live band clearly. But i did not get the chance to take the bride and bridegroom's photo as people were lining up to take with them. I'm not willing to line up okay.. and not to forget a few hot hunks *wicked smile*. That made my day. The girls were pretty to. I was thinking of getting a pair of saree but not sure will it fits me and where the hell am i gonna wear it..

Masterchef Aussie version

I got the idea of posting today's subject after watching a few episodes of the popular reality show Masterchef Australia.

For those who are passionate about cooking, this will be a good series to watch. One of the contestant, Marion was eliminited and i'm not sure why i was moved. I cried. Yes, i did. I can see her passion for cooking is so deep. Same goes to the rest of the contestants. They come from all walks of life. And you can see how badly they all wanted to win and make their dream come true.

Watch it if you haven't..

fallin' in love or fallin' out of love

" A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.”
Mignon McLaughlin

You remember the feeling of falling in love for someone for the first time?...Well as if it was a very long time gone by...I do miss the feeling...

So how do you retain the spark in a relationship? Well, I'm not the best person for you to seek advise from. Sometimes I wonder, how did our parents managed to keep their marriage for more than 30 years and still going strong. I guess the olden days are much different compared to the modern world we're living in now. So many temptations from hot hunks and cute girls.

I believe it's a matter of keeping your heart to that one person. Whether you're strong enough to put those temptations aside. If you're searching for a perfect partner, well, you can live in your own perfect world. Heard the word 'No one's perfect' and it is true. Even models have their 'ugly'side. Both partners have to play their part. Being in a relationship is not a one way street thing. Both side gotta chip in, or else, it's going to ruin the whole relationship. It's a big commitment apart from paying for your car installment or your housing loan.

You may face ups and downs being with someone. I don't believe that a partner has never been in an argument before. Impossible. So when that happen, I guess sometimes, both party will burst into flames, this is the part where, one of them has to give in, sit and discuss about (not me, coz I don't like confrontation)..

Ramadhan and syawal

The post title means as if like hari raya will be tomorrow right? Nahh, i'm just excited, that's all. Sent my baju raya to the tailor even at a very last minute. It will be lavender in color this year. I never had a lavender one before, so why not. Just a simple baju kurung traditional will do as i can wear them in any ocassion.

The choices of colors in Kamdar are not as what i expected this year. Flower motives are in their line now and those kind of designs are not my favor. Lucky i brought Rina, Mas and Asraf. This is my first time choosing my own material and send it to the tailor. It was not as easy as i see when people do their raya shopping. My mum will do it for me and little sis (she's not that little coz she's 17) every year.

I do hope that this year's Ramadhan will be more blessful compared to the previous years. Many things has happened, so i'm expecting something worth while from this coming Ramadhan.

So how do you plan to celebrate your Ramadhan?...

Red velvet cake courtesy of Coffee Bean and Tealeaf

After hearing about red velvet cake from friends, i managed to get a taste of it. Thanks to Coffee Bean, they now serve red velvet cake for RM8.90 a piece in Queensbay Mall branch. Top with dried coconut pieces. It does taste similar to its name, velvet.

But this is not my kind of cake..i am more the Secret Recipe kind of cake choices....

OverTime

How creative the name given to a pub along Gurney drive. Not enough doing overtime at work yet people still do their overtime here but this work does not pay you extra instead it burn a hole in your pocket. But ONE THING that i will ALWAYS remember when ordering a CUP of tea is here, you're ALLOWED to a refill of hot water for only ONCE. And the price for a cup of tea is RM 7.90. And 3 pieces of chicken wings are RM16. This maybe the first and last time my visit here.

And before you come, make sure your stomach is full. The choices of menu are food that you can find at your nearest hawker stalls. Also make sure you use the simplest English possible as most of the staffs here are from Thailand (judging by their slang)...

The place is quite spacious. There's room for you to walk. Unlike some pubs where the tables and chairs are place near to each other.

Music are not bad but there's also live band for you to watch. And since i don't drink, therefore its kind of bored fot me. And i'm not sure why people have to carry along their Ipad or laptop with them when what they wanted was to hang out. Technology can be a bad thing at times. It makes human lost their ability to communicate.

Tri Action Aqua Boost by Bio Essence

You know how beauty regime can be a hassle sometimes especially when you are tired after a day at work. Wearing a mask is a pain as you need to wash your face after 15 minutes and by the time comes, the laziness kicks in. I am a lazy freak. My normal regime will consist just a cleanser and moisturizer. I skip the toner part. So people like me will need something easy and it will be even good if you can wear it to bed and wash it off during shower the next morning.

Well, worry no more as i have found a solution recommended by a friend of mine. It is the Bio Essence Tri Action Aqua boost. It contain :

Hyaluronic acid - supports the formation and maintenance of collagen to improve elasticity and firmness

Olive extract - rich in Vit C, E and powerful antioxidants to fight harmful particals. Also soothes and heals dry skin during cold and dry weather conditions (will be good for those who stays in air-conditioned environment).

Cranberry oil - High in essentials fatty acids ( Omega 3, 6 and 9) to preserve moisture and prevent dry skin. Rich in Vit 3 for strong antioxidants powers against free radical scavengers.

Ginseng - to promote cell regeneration and slows down the process of premture ageing. Replenishes nutrients to restore radiance.

Thanakha extract - posess natural sunblock protection. Has anti wrinkle ingredients effectively reduce pimples and frackles formation. Reduces free radical damage, soothes and calm skin leaving it smooth and supple.

I will use this product daily and review the result after a week.... And bear in mind that result may vary based on different skin type. And yes, it is suitable for dry abd oily skin as well.

Heart breaking moment for the Republic People of China

You think that we live in a harsh country even when our political scene is damaged. It maybe partially true. And when we think the word poor means wearing old clothes and eating food that we have to share. When we think the working as a garbish collectors are bad. When we think eating at a hawket stall is for the lower income people...well think again.

The link that you're about to see has an explicit and heart-breaking photos. Browsing it will be at your own risk and make sure after that, be thankful and grateful for being a Malaysian and we're lucky to still be living in a country where compassion and dignity still exist in every of its residence...
