......out of the window.
I'm as sad as you when Monday comes. Not that I hate Monday. But it takes another 4 days to reach the weekend. Sometimes you feel like the time past so quickly but sometimes you feel like, 'Oh no, it's only Tuesday?'
Well, there are a few tips that you can practice to ward off that dreaded Monday you've been complaining about. These are the things I normally do except for the healthy eating part :)
Eat nutritiously throughout the weekend.
Limit junk food snacks and fast-food joints. Stay healthy by eating as many fruits and vegetables as possible, perhaps an occasional extra treat because it's the weekend.
Do something special or enjoyable to draw your weekend to a close.
When you're in bed on Saturday night, thinking how this weekend wasn't even worth anything, and you hardly did anything fun or useful, you're going to feel blue to go back to your routine after feeling that the last two days off were pointless. Allow yourself the chance to take back a sense of a lost weekend and re-energize yourself with something that makes you feel good at the last minute. This will allow you to redeem a seemingly lost weekend and you'll be happy to recall the night before on Monday. Like for example, I went for a picnic with my partner on Sunday morning at the Penang Hill. We spend 3 hours at the hilltop just eating, people-watching activity, taking photos, talking about just anything and making jokes with each other. Try doing something leisure and avoid the adrenaline rush kind of activity. You don't want to lose your energy for the weekdays to come.
Look forward to the next weekend.
By now, start to plan your next weekend to have a blast with friends, or cancel any events so you can take the day off to yourself. This way, on Monday (and all week) you have something to look forward to. Just like I do. When Monday comes, normally I'll plan everything for the next 5 days on what I have in my organizer and execute them. Meet up with your friends for dinner or take a stroll at the mall or perhaps treat yourself to a nice snack or an alone time dinner.
