Things that reminded me who I used to be

The weekend that I managed to spend with the family was what I needed much. After being tired for so many days, I needed to go some place which is familiar to me. I have been feeling 'lost' and alienated for the past few days. I guess it is normal for some one who is going through a changing phase and stress.

Well back at home, I was talking to my mum on how I wanted to present something which everyone will remember on my wedding day. So I thought of putting up old photos back when I was small with people who see me growing up. My cousins, my grandparents, my uncles and aunties. While looking at all the old photos, it made me teared a little knowing that half of the people I know in these photos are no longer around. FYI, I have never seen my grandfather before but from what I heard from my dad, he's a very hard working people and they came from a poor family.

I used to dream on having my wedding with a garden theme but it was too large in terms on budget. I'm no Bill Gates daughter, you know. Then daddy hit me with a reality that splurging big on your wedding is a waste. At the end of the day, invitees will eat and go. Some don't even bother to say even at least 'Congratulations' on your big day. What's more important is that everybody are having fun and that's where all family member could meet up. A reunion apart from during Chinese New Year.

Then through the process of our preparation, ideas upon ideas came in. I thought why not play old school music from the 70s, 80s and 90s where everyone is familiar, why not play my family's old photos on the slideshow apart from my pre-wedding shoots. From a garden theme wedding, I would say it changed to a more 'reminiscing the memories' kind of theme. I believe that the theme will bring back memories to everyone. At least it reminds us on our good old days.

Mummy's wedding invitation back in the 80s. I guess the people back then was simpler and not sophisticated as the people in the new millennium

My study desk back when I was in high school. Later on was used by my sister and still in superb condition. There are actually chemistry formula all over the desk. I used to write them down in order to memorize...Hahahhaha

My chemistry notes on a notepad found in my room. I normally write these towards exam season. Pocket size so that it's easier to bring them around.

See, told you that I write my formulas e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e. This formula should look familiar to you. The basic chemistry formula in chemistry.
