Think that you don't have a life after the working-hours? Fret not cause you're not the only thinking that way. This issue is not something new. It's a known fact but yet everyone taking it lightly. The outcome is that, the turnover and turnover intention keeps increasing.
Yes, we are depending on the organization for our financial needs but there has to be a limit to it.
A happy employee = good performance of the company + loyalty to the organization
I was scrolling on my FB page and bumped into a simple article from Jobstreet which I think represents the voice of every employee in every company in Malaysia including mine. It's the silent voice which we're unable to hear physically from the employee themselves.
One of the many statements provided in the article that caught my attention is:
Approximately 60 per cent also indicated their company is not carrying out any initiatives to promote work-life balance. One respondent said, “Even if my company has work-life balance initiatives such as an on-site gym, a chill-out area and other organized social activities. It’s there in place just for show as we don’t even have sufficient manpower to sustain the workload.”
Worklife balance does not only apply to those who are already married but also applies to the single one. They still have parents or siblings to attend to.
